July 2025 Art Pieces

One of my creative outlets this summer has been making digital art pieces using a photo I’ve taken as an inspiration, or as a base for the piece.

My process for creating a piece is usually a few hours of trial and error. (Testing out a color, shape, line, placement of an object, placement of where the model is, etc… Trying something and then deleting what I tried and continually experimenting again and again, etc…)

I find it simultaneously exciting and also very therapeutic. My mind gets into a flow state and the joy of trying something and being happy with the result is very satisfying.

Here’s a look at some pieces I’ve created so far;

Ellalise Cheri in the studio

Ellalise Cheri and I got together for a quick photoshoot in the studio. We had been connected for a while but this was our first shoot together and we achieved a ton of great shots. Ellalise was a natural to work with.

Below are some of my favorite stills from the shoot, as well as an interview with Ellalise.

What do you feel when you model? (What is the emotions/feelings you experience?)

If I could describe it in one word, natural! It feels so comfortable and I know it’s where I’m meant to be. It’s like acting, depending on the shoot you have to play a role and that’s one of my favorite aspects of modeling.

What are 3 facts about you?

I was a ballerina basically my whole life and danced up to a professional level

I have my degree in Health Sciences

I am an extremely active girl, I love the gym and enjoy a number of outdoor sports such as snow skiing and boarding, wakeboarding, and hiking.

What is the role of art in society?

To peak your interest and fuel self interpretation and thought.  It’s a visual stimulator, and it conveys beauty through a number of different tools, including your body.

How do you deal with people judging you?

Ignore it, and don’t care.  Know your own self worth and love yourself to the highest level.  I always say if I could marry myself I would.  Nothing wrong with that.  People judge because of their own insecurities. The more you don’t care what anyone thinks whether it be friends, family, or strangers the happier you will be.  As long as you aren’t hurting others and working toward what makes you happy, nothing else matters .

What are some of your hobbies/passions outside of modeling?

Physical fitness , Learning about the human body and how it works , Health, Fashion , Cooking, Spending time with loved ones

If you had to eat cold pizza, what would your topping preference be?

Italian sausage

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?

Don’t be so hard on yourself, nobody is perfect.

If you could replace any one of the three flavors in Neapolitan ice cream, what would the new flavor be?

I would replace vanilla with banana

What’s something people might be surprised to know about you?

I was ill for two years and almost died.  No doctor could figure out what I had, so I took it into my own hands and did the research I needed to and completely healed my body.

If you could make up a fun holiday, what would it be?

An extended Christmas that lasts at least 2 months.  I love it.

Cameron Keller : Art + Photoshoot + Interview

Cameron Keller is an artist and model based out of New Mexico.

We got together at a photo studio and created some portraits with an editorial vibe. Below is the photos from our shoot, some of Cameron’s art creations, and also an interview with her.

What formats/mediums do you like to work in?

I primarily work with acrylic paint. I like to add texture and depth to my canvases with clay. While I’m working on large scale murals I use a lot of house paint & spray paint.

“Go piss girl”

“Inspired by the fact that (some) butterflies are scavengers. They’re attracted to the smell of urine, and decomposing flesh. I also think it would be funny if girls could pee as openly as men do.”

What’s your favorite part about modeling?

I think modeling is fun! Honestly, my favorite part is wearing cute clothes, and feeling confident .

Got any favorite quotes?

My favorite quote is a meme about Rudolf haha “deviation from the norm will be punished unless it is exploitable”

What’s your process like in creating your work?

with two kids my creation process is usually pretty chaotic. I get my ideas sporadically & have to keep an ongoing “ideas” list. My stuff is all over the place. I move my things based to wherever the kids are playing.

“Soul collector”

“I have a lot of dreams of this character for some reason”

What’s your favorite movie you’ve seen this year? (It can be old or new, as long as it was new to you)

Favorite movie from this year was Dinner in America

Is what inspires you for modeling different than what inspires you for creating your work?

I think that my inspiration for modeling and creating art comes from the same place. Essentially, trying to capture the art that is being a person into a single moment.

“Center of the Earth”

“A lot of times I’m trying to encapsulate the energy of the desert. I think specifically New Mexico has a lot of portals/unworldly things going on.”

Favorite pizza toppings??

My favorite pizza topping is green chile.

What’s your unwinding routine?

I like to unwind by running the ditch banks. It forces me to focus on breathing, and my environment.

What was one of your favorite days of 2024?

My favorite memory this year was when we irrigated our back field in the middle of summer. We all played in the shallow water at sunset. It was gorgeous, and such a simple, fun memory.

“Portals” also New Mexico desert energy
